Hey SMCers! I wanted to share with you my research on a company called Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. It was created a long, long time ago... all the way back in 1839! Berkshire Hathaway isn't just ANY company, it's actually a company run by our leader, Mr. Buffett.

Mr. Buffett is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Berkshire Hathaway. The CEO is the head honcho of a company. He is the one that calls the shots and makes a lot of important decisions for the company.

The company is in the conglomerate industry. What's a conglomerate you ask? Well, it is when two or more companies in different businesses fall under one name. Berkshire Hathaway owns many different businesses including railroads, candy production, retail, encyclopedias and more! Check out just some the companies that they own in the gallery below. You probably know some of them!
